When you filter cases, the subset of cases you’ve chosen is shown, and other cases are temporarily hidden. HyperRESEARCH allows you to work with subsets of your cases by using case filters. Set up your Case and Code filters and your code sorting preferences prior to running any report if you wish to interrogate a subset of your cases and codes. HyperRESEARCH's reporting features take your current Case Filters and Code Filters into account when generating reports. Quality control, improving interpretive processĬharts and graphs Exercises: interrogating the dataset Incremental and iterative nature of queries See all coloured illustrations (from the book) of software tasks and functions, numbered in chapter order. Types of queries vary from simple to complicated tasks summarized, charted information where the results are already available in the background is available in some software. Discover relationships between codes which co-occur in some way in the data or compare them across subsets of data (indicated by the application of variables or attributes to data). Interrogation can also happen in terms of coding work you have previously achieved. Already in Chapter 6 we referred to Text search tools where the content is explored.

DOWNLOAD HYPERRESEARCH HOW TO
We suggest you work with the tutorial files before starting a study with your own data, since this will allow you to learn how to use HyperRESEARCH without worrying about "messing up" any of your own research. The tutorial materials consist of prepared source files (including text, audio, video, and graphic files) and two sample studies (including study files, saved reports, and saved hypotheses) for you to use while familiarizing yourself with HyperRESEARCH. You can find the tutorials and sample material in the "Documentation" folder within the "HyperRESEARCH" folder created when you install HyperRESEARCH. The tutorials use the sample "Qualitative Data Analysis Study" and "Cinderella Study" included in the HyperRESEARCH download package. They're provided as separate downloads here as a convenient way to learn more about the program before you download the entire software package.
